It is no longer news that the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the self- acclaimed Lion, unleashed his anger and rage while unveiling the Governorship and Deputy Governorship Candidates of APC in Kogi State in Glass House last Saturday being 3rd of June, 2023 whereupon he called a free citizen of Kogi State, ALHAJI MURITALA YAKUBU AJAKA, who in recent times has been of immense support to the people of the state an Antelope who must not dare him.
This unnecessary outburst elicited a lot of reactions from the surprised and peace loving people of Kogi state who are faced with many issues of survival especially, in Lokoja the State Capital who for over 3 months are without portable water supply owing to the inability of the same Governor to service and maintain the Greater Lokoja Water Project known and called IBRO WATER being one of the legacy projects of former Governor Ibrahim Idris.
The outburst and venom poured out by Governor Bello followed and an earlier press statement issued by his Commissioner for Information, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, who has become notorious for misinformation in Kogi State even as an evangelist issued a terse and misleading statement that the convoy of ALHAJI Muri AJAKA blocked and attacked that of Kogi State Governor at Banda along Lokoja-Abuja road where scores of people were injured and were rushed to an unnamed medical facilities in God knows where.
While it beats the imagination of serious minded people both within and outside the state that a citizen who is just on mere consultation with the major Traditional Rulers in the state to tell them of his intention to contest the seat of Governor of Kogi State will attack the convoy of a sitting Governor like Governor Bello whose only weapon in governance is violence, sorrow, tears and blood.
After listening and watching the videos of the Governor’s outburst and threats that same Saturday, I can only deduce one basic thing that the fear mode of BELLO has been activated.
It is also certain from psychological point of view that BELLO didn’t sleep well that night and it is not likely that he has slept well thereafter till now.
It’s obvious that the cup of YAHAYA BELLO is full and he is beginning to lose it.
Following the above, I want to say in clear terms that Gov YAHAYA BELLO needs help and pity.
Having frittered away the goodwill of God in his life with the gift of an undeserved position of the Governor of Kogi State, the reality of life after office is beginning to dawn on him.
The major problem and challenge that BELLO is facing currently is that he can’t roll back time, as it is usually said he can’t roll back the hand of the clock. The clock has ticked in on BELLO already and the only option that is left to him is a THIRD TERM AGENDA in ALHAJI USMAN ODODO where, by his estimation, he want to use to cover his tracks.
The most worrying thing here is that BELLO has lost sense of history of how he ascended the Governor seat of Kogi State and he has left God as an insignificant aspect of his life and he’s arrogating all powers to himself. What a pity.
I want to strongly advise Gov Bello to go back God and seek forgiveness and make restitution.
How he thinks and sees Kogi people from peasants, the Religious leaders, the prayer warriors, the vibrant youths, the opinion molders, retired Generals, political elites, Retirees of various cadres and the silent majority in the state of becoming pawns in his game of political chess with his abysmal performance as a governor is what I don’t understand.
In his position as an outgoing Governor what is expected of him as at now is to be commissioning projects. In fact, he should be bringing President Bola TINUBU to be doing that in this dying days of his administration. I don’t know of any major ongoing projects he’s executing now that can ever be commissioned before he leaves office.
Finally I want to appeal to the good people of Kogi state and beyond to pity Gov Yahaya Bello considering his current predicament, I also appeal to his medical personnel to watch him carefully and pay more attention to his health after World Health Organization (WHO) described Health as a state of both Physical, Social, Mental and Emotional wellbeing of a person not just mere absence of diseases or infirmity.
It is indeed a right of Kogi people to seek the best hands to govern them. Let them not be deterred making their choice.
President TINUBU has lived his life as a Democrat we urge him NEVER to provide a TATATATATA atmosphere for Governor Bello again. He should prove to the world the democratic nature in him by making sure tyranny and violence are not allowed to fester in Kogi as it is in the past.
KOGI STATE WILL BREATHE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR Come November.
