Set to Automatically Employ Willing Medical Corpers After Completion of Service Year.
The Katsina State Government has disclosed its plan of giving automatic employment to medical corps members willing to stay in the State (after their service programme) and offer their services to Katsina residents.
The Permanent Secretary of the Katsina State Ministry of Health, Dr. A. T. Hamza revealed the plan on Tuesday when he led a delegation to visit Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
Dr. Hamza informed the NYSC Coordinator that the Katsina Government is committed to providing decent accommodation for corp members in the State, promising to also increase their allowance.
“All these are in a bid to ensure efficient healthcare delivery in the State,” he said.
On her part, Hajiya Mohammed, commended the efforts of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda towards improving the overall welfare of the corpers in the State.
The Personal Physician to the Katsina Governor, Dr. Abdurrahim Ma’aji and Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Katsina Branch, Dr. Adamu Saminu, were part of the visit.
