The Allied People’s Movement APM has announced the death of one of its active member of the National Working Committee, NWC ,and the Deputy National Women Leader , Barrister Queen Oyibo Okpe .
Okpe died in the early hours of Sunday in Abuja hospital.
This was contained in a statement issued by the National Secretary of the party , Hon Oyadeyi Ayodele Adebayo in Abuja
A legal practitioner of high repute ,Barrister Okpe has served the party in different capacity as member of the previous National Working Committee NWC as Vice Chairman, North Central and was reelected at the just concluded National Congress held in Bauchi recently as Deputy National Women Leader .
She was the chairman of the constitution review committee of the party, CWC before the recent elective convention held in Bauchi.
Barrister Queen Oyibo Okpe voluntarily joined the party and carried some administrative functions as well chaired many committees of the party both adhoc and substantive ones .
According to the National Secretary in a release stated ..
“Good afternoon distinguished party leaders,
Unto God we are from and when our journey on earth comes to an
end unto the same God we shall return.”
“With a grateful heart and total submission to the will of Almighty God, we regret to announce the passage of a very dear member, sister, friend and colleague Barrister Queen Oyibo Okpe.”
“She died in the early hours of today at the hospital where she was receiving treatment.
As a family we shall miss her greatly but at the same time we can not query God, as he is the one who gives and takes.”
“We are all enjoined to remember the family she left behind and also for God to rest her soul.
Amen.”
Okpe is survived by colleagues , family members and well wishers .
