The Yauri Emirate Council of Kebbi State in collaboration with Yauri Emirate Development Association organised a reception in honour of Minister of State for Education, Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala and six other illustrious sons of the emirate.
Speaking during the reception held at Yauri Town Hall in Yauri Local Government Area, on Saturday, the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi CON,FNSM said the reception was aimed at fostering unity and enhancing cordial relationship amongst the people of the area.
Dr. Zayyanu Abdullahi further stated that, the reception followed after the celebrants’ appointments into key positions both at the state and national levels.
The Emir Commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing his son as Minister and Governor Dr Nasiru Idris Kaura Gwandu for appointing Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri as secretary to the Kebbi State Government.
Moreover, the Emir poetryed the appointment of SSG and other Celebrants as well deserved considering their contributions towards the development of Yauri emirate, state and the nation.
The Royal Father described their appointments as an achievement that would bring rapid growth and development of not only Yauri emirate but also the state and the nation at large.
“These appointments had given the emirate and its people a sense of belonging, honour and dignity” Emir said.
Dr. Zayyanu thanked Almighty Allah as his Emirate now has Minister, SSG, Permanent Secretary, members House of Assembly, Special Advisers and commissioners. He prayed for unity among all members of the emirate irrespective of ethnicity, tribe or political leaning.
“I urge you people to continue to respect your elders most especially the traditional institutions who are the custodian of our culture and tradition who are always at your service,” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri thanked the Emir of Yauri on behalf of the celebrants for their honor and reassured their loyalty to the emirate at all times..
“That kind of honor is a blessing and definitely it would motivate other sons of the emirate to be honest, hard working in uplifting the Emirate, the state as well as the nation in general” SSG said.
The SSG commended the efforts of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris for supporting the people of Yauri emirate in anything that would promote the people of the area.
Other Celebrants are Alhaji Saidu Buhari Wara, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information and Culture, Hashimu Usman Hinambiro, Hon. Adam Muhammad BB (Lahiddan Yauri), Hon.Tukur Muhammad Giron Masa, Hon.Yunusa Musa (Dallatun B/Yauri), Hon. Garba Salihu Takware.
The occasion were highlighted with Cultural Entertainment that performed by Sarkin Makada,Ngaski Cultural Troop /Giron Masa and Ibrahim Sani Dandawo.
