Senator representing kogi west i. The 5th Senate, Senatir Tunde Ogbeha has sent a message of condolence to the family of the former governor, late Alhaji Ibrahim idris.
This was contained in a release made available to media on Sunday.
Ogbeha extended his condolences to the entire people of kogi state , family and well wishers.
“I received with profound shock and deep sadness the news of the demise of our leader, elder statesman and former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris (Ibro), who reportedly passed on in the United Kingdom.”
“Alhaji Ibrahim Idris was a father to all, a political colossus, and a man of peace whose tenure as Governor of Kogi State from 2003 to 2012 laid a solid foundation for the development of our dear state. He was a detribalized Kogite, a generous philanthropist, and a bridge-builder whose politics was without bitterness.”
“His death is not just a loss to his immediate family, the Idris family of Idah, and the people of Kogi East, but a monumental loss to the entire Kogi State and Nigeria at large. Kogi has lost one of its most illustrious sons.”
“On behalf of my family and my political associates, particularly North Central Zone of African Democratic Congress ADC I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to his wives, children, grandchildren, and the entire Idris family. I particularly commiserate with his son, former PDP governorship aspirant Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris and the entire people of Kogi State over this irreplaceable loss.”
“I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him Aljannatul Firdaus, and grants the family, friends, and all of us the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
