As preparation for the conduct of bye- elections across the country gathered momentum towards the weekend, Allied People’s Movement, APM National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf has appealed to the people of Gombe and Bauchi to vote for its candidates in the two states for Gombe/Kwami/ Funakaye Federal Constituency, Alhaji Gaddafi Haruna in Gombe State, and candidates of the party in Sakkwa and Disina State constituency of Bauchi State.
A statement signed by the spokesman on Wednesday opined that the new era of ushering the people oriented leadership starts from the bye election by voting for the candidates of the party .
While appealing to the people of Gombe and Bauchi State to embrace the ongoing changes in the country, he assured of good governance and people oriented leadership in the parties candidates.
Yusuf said the bye elections will serve as a litmus test and reward for bad leadership at the federal level under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that has imposed untold hardship on Nigerians.
While appealing to the electorates from the two states to embrace the new order and changes pervading across the country, he appealed to them to embrace peaceful conducts in the runoff on Saturday.
He said the APM is determined to right the wrongs from the grassroots with the successful conduct of local government elections in Bauchi State, to state assembly and federal constituency.
While promising a free, fair elections in the last quarter of the year in Oyo State local government areas , he described politics as local and the bane of good governance .
