The family of Late Alhaji Amodu Attah and Late Malama Sharbutu Habiba Amodu all of Dekina has launched a community development and health foundation to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their late mother, Malama Sharbutu Habiba Amodu who died in 2nd August , 2006.
The two day event held on Saturday, 1st, August and Sunday, 2nd, August simultaneously at No 14 Ayegba street, Ojuwo ,Dekina town in Dekina local government area of kogi state included foundation launch, community health outreach and twenty years rememberance prayers.
Aside prayers for the continuous repose of the soul of the late matriach, the family use the occasion to empower communities, improve lives and build enduring legacies.
In his prayers, the Imam and Muslims Ummah at the occasion prayed for the repose of the late Mother and Almighty God continues to forgive her at the great beyond with Aljanatu firdaus.
Highlights of the occasion included quaranic supplications and distribution of items through the food outreach for the less privileged and the members of the community and society.
