“If Development Was Rain, Every Delta Compound Got Wet”
Today, May 29, 2026, Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori marks 3 years in office.
And according to his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr Ossai Ovie Success, the verdict from the streets is simple: “There is no Local Government Area in Delta State without completed or ongoing projects.”
Three years ago in 2023, he stood before Deltans and said, “I will give you all MORE.” In 2025, Ossai said he did justice to that promise. In 2026, the evidence is tar, machines, classrooms, hospital beds, and alert tones.
M.O.R.E — Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, Enhanced Peace and Security — is no longer a campaign slogan. It’s now a statewide reality.
There was a man with 25 lamps but oil for only 5. He lit his own compound and left 20 in darkness. The people called him selfish.
Governor Oborevwori took the oil of governance and poured it across all 25 LGAs.
From riverine communities to non riverine communities to Ika .
No Local Government was told “wait for next tenure”.
Ossai puts it plain: “Wherever I go, people stop me and say ‘Ossai, help us greet our Governor’.” That greeting is louder than any press conference.
If there are things Deltans will testify about, it’s roads, job creation , security, education, health care and many more .
Over 513 road projects spanning 1,500 kilometers + 950km drainage across Highways, Urban Roads, Rural & Riverine Roads .

Delta now ranked safest state for oil & gas investments
Kidnappers now use Waze to avoid Delta. That’s peace.
Campaign promises are easy.
Campaign promises across river and land, oil city and farm village, upland and creek — that one needs a governor with “native intelligence” and “street credibility”.
Governor Oborevwori didn’t choose 10 LGAs. He didn’t choose 20. He chose all 25. Because Opportunities for ALL means ALL.
Three years later, the woman in Bomadi doesn’t care about politics. She cares that her PHC has drugs.
The student in Ozoro doesn’t care about 2027. He cares that his bursary alert dropped. The pensioner in Warri doesn’t care about grammar. He cares that his arrears came.
That’s governance that touches life, not just headlines.
3 years. 25 LGAs. 0 left behind.
If that’s not M.O.R.E, then what is?
Year 4 begins today. And if 3 years gave Delta this much, Deltans can only imagine what’s next.
Happy 3rd Anniversary, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Delta is grateful. Delta is working.
What’s the Oborevwori project closest to your LGA? Drop it in the comments. Let’s count the blessings 👇
