THE IDU (LION) OF OIL INDUSTRY
Some call him Anana, while some call him Atuluku, yet others call him Bameyi, he is known to many as the lion (IDU), some other elderly friend call him Ubada le, it goes on and, this is because of his disposition and good human and public relation practiced by this rare gem.
He was born in the late 60s in Olowa village near the Ancient Dekina Town in the present kogi state to a humble but highly respected family, Negedu. Caught in the web of tradition and Islamic influence, he was given the name BAMEYI sai Allah.
Keen on education the young BAMEYI attended the popular Saint John Anglican Primary School, Dekina he proceeded to Government Secondary School (GSS) Dekina for his Secondary School Education. On Graduation from GSS Dekina, this rare breed, thirsting and hungry for Education gone for advance level education at the college of education, Ankpa, where he was elected clerk of the house, student union (SUG)
This unimpeachable and unassailable was the first president of the prestigious Royal club of COE, Ankpa who after graduation he preceded to the largest University in Sub-Sahara Africa – Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to study agriculture science liu Education during his educational strive, he has been described by many as unblameable, a tireless seeker of truth. This gem however served his father’s land (Nigeria) NYSC = 98 AT Wukari TARABA STATE (bagged the NYSC award), as if this was not enough in search of more knowledge proceed to university of port-Harcourt (Uniport) and bag his postgraduate diploma in business administration, and He proudly crown it Master of Business Administration (MBA) Salem University on leavening school, he worked at the D.U MUKTAR oil company: with head office at Makurdi and Port Harcourt in the 1998. Here he was blessed and endowed with great experience in the OIL INDUSTRY as an operation manager, later began to bridge the gap between Makurdi and port Harcourt in the 1999.
BAMEYI ATULUKU NEGEDU the achenwu wone of Igala land and Anana 1, was however seconded to share is wealth of experience at the MERAB NIGERIA LIMITED: He served as the Personal assistance to the managing Director (MD) Later elevated to the position of the Commercial Manger, haven being tried, trusted and proved reliable he was promoted to the office of the Assistance General Manager (AGM) of MERAB NIGERIA LIMITED. This promotion indeed made the business Empire to spring from glory to glory.
In the year 2001 at the garden city of Port Harcourt, BAMEYI ATULUKU NEGEDU established the Negs Oil, incorporated and dwell recognized by the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with branches spread across the country
Significantly to note, is that, the man BAMEYI is also the chairman-bridger’s Association of Port Harcourt NNPC deport. This is the Association for the petroleum independence marketers; the spread and structural Building up of Negs oil, sees Alhaji BAMEYI as the group manger, and the chief Executive officer, based at the head office Port-Harcourt
Despite, being a core oil merchant and a Business guru, this rare breed still have great interest in the political hemisphere of Nigerians, (though not partisan). He has sponsored well meaning Nigerians who aspired for various political offices right from the Local Government level to House of Representative; his success in this endeavor is magnificent.
This embodiment of discipline has his own peculiar leadership style he combined both capitalist system and that of socialist virtues; whose main agenda is the total emancipation of the Igala land in a nut shell the “IGALA AGENDER”
His launching pad to lime light has made him to enjoyed several feathers on his cap which include being coronated as OMACHI-ATTA, WAAAAAAALI Also that of the Igala national awareness forum.
Very outstanding and pertinent to draw our attention to, is the traditional title award given to Anana 1, the achenwu wone of Igala kingdom, the lion from the eastern part of his great country of Nigeria, precisely from UDI Local Government Area of Enugu State “THE NWANEDI NAMBA 1 OF ETITI – AMOKWE” by his royal highness P.C ONYIA (RTD) UKWADIKE 1 OF ETITI AMOKWE dated on a wonderful progressive day of 08-08-2008……
Until his demise on 20th May 2026, He survived with wife and children.
