The ancient and revered Igala Kingdom is once again preparing to welcome the world as the highly anticipated Igala Carnival 2026 returns for its landmark 10th edition in what promises to be the grandest cultural celebration in the history of North Central Nigeria.
Scheduled to hold on Thursday, 28th & Friday 29th May 2026 (next day of EID-KABIR 2026)
at the prestigious Prince Abubakar Audu University Sports Center, ANYIGBA – KOGI STATE, the carnival will gather over 470,000 participants, tourists, cultural enthusiasts, diplomats, entertainers, and dignitaries from across Nigeria and the international community under the inspiring theme: “Igala Moving Forward”
For ten remarkable years, the Igala Carnival has stood as a shining symbol of cultural preservation, unity, tourism development, youth empowerment, and economic advancement.
What began as a cultural gathering has evolved into one of Nigeria’s most respected indigenous festivals, proudly projecting the beauty and historical significance of the Igala people to the global stage.
