Rt Honorable Tom Zakari is a distinguished Nigerian politician and accomplished academic with an outstanding record of public service and intellectual contribution.
*He holds a B.Sc in Economics, MBA in Business Administration, M.Sc in Economics, and a Ph.D in Economics.*
He served meritoriously as:
• Special Adviser on Inter and Intra-Party Affairs to Ibrahim Idris — the first individual to occupy this position in Kogi State.
• Special Adviser on Security and Boundary Matters to the same administration.
Hon. Zakari was elected to the House of Representatives where he represented his constituency in the 7th National Assembly (2011–2015) under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He also served as a National Executive Committee (NEC) Member of the PDP, representing the North Central geopolitical zone, which comprises:
• Benue State
• Kogi State
• Nasarawa State
• Plateau State
• Niger State
• Federal Capital Territory
• Kwara State
In addition to his political career, Hon. Zakari is a Visiting Lecturer to several Federal Universities across Nigeria, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in Economics and Governance.
