The Ogodu Community Development Association OCDA in Abuja has awarded notable members of the association, while soliciting for scholarships to it’s students in institutions of higher learning.
The event which took place in Merit House , Maitama,Abuja on Saturday, December 13 honored 18 prominent sons and daughters and members who had distinguished themselves in the community services, with it’s coordinator, Engr (Dr) Hassan Nataala, FNSE.
The recipients were honored based on their contributions to the development of Ogodu Community, which cut across Education, infrastructure, Empowerment, Health and security among others.

The theme of the event included awards, ,fund raising for Ogodu Community Development Association OCDA, Scholarships scheme and fund raising for the acquisition of utility vehicle.
Speaking at the occasion,the former Director General,National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Professor Armstrong Idachaba and Senior Lecturer at Veritas University, spoke on the topic ;
Importance of Trust , Unity , Love , Peace and Progress as the bane of community advancement, while advising Ogodu Community to embrace it.
The event which attracted dignataries from all walks of life included Barrister Abdullahi Haruna, SAN, AVM Gabriel Aduku, Rtd, General Aduku Saidu ,Rtd, Mohammed Saidu and Barrister Abubakar Usman Yahaya among many others who honored the occasion.
