The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has greeted Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Kabir celebration.
The Deputy House Leader, in a felicitation message released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru Adejoh urged Muslim faithfuls to take advantage of the Eid season and reflect on the teachings of the celebration which its hallmark is characterised by patience and sacrifice.
According to the Deputy House Leader, the significance of patience cannot be over emphasized and without sacrifice, no will ever witness a meaningful development adding that peace and harmonious coexistence can only be possible when people are willing to let go of things that are capable of causing division.
He further used the opportunity of the Eid to call on both Muslims and non Muslims alike to personalise the act of sacrifice in their daily lives noting that foregoing personal wills for societal progress is in itself, a mark of faith.
He thereafter congratulated the wonderful people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State in particular for witnessing this year’s Eid celebration and urged them to be resolute with times. He assured them of goodness in offing amidst the current economic hardship all over the country stressing that his various Constituency intervention programs are his own way of giving back to the people.
While praying for long life to witness many more celebrations, he reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that he uses his good office to attract maximum dividends of democracy to the people and appealed to those who have the means to extend charity to everyone around them in this season and beyond.
