Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has drawn the curtain for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government campaign in Batagarawa, while emphasizing that the ruling party will not betray the people’s trust.
Addressing stakeholders, party elders and members of the party from Batagarawa, Charanchi and Rimi local government, the Governor acknowledged the unity demonstrated by the party faithfuls in the areas.
“The unity we have built, the friendship we have nurtured, and the bond we have strengthened among ourselves—this is something we should cherish and protect. This success did not come by accident; it was achieved through the dedicated leadership of our three local government areas,” the Governor stated.
The Governor also added, “Campaigns are completed in Batagarawa, but today, every member of Rimi and Charanchi is here. This is a testament to the unity and strength of our party.”
Acknowledging the charisma of the lawmaker representing the constituency, the Governor stressed, “Our representative in the State Assembly from these three local governments is a man of integrity—a role model. If he had not worked hard to maintain our unity, we would not have achieved what we see today. I must commend his efforts and the efforts of all our elders who stood firm to ensure our success.”
“As a member of this area, I am delighted to see that the unity we established has continued to grow stronger,” Governor Radda expressed satisfaction.
Speaking on the growing strength of the ruling party, the Governor asserted, “The APC is gaining more and more acceptance among the people. This is because of the solid foundation and trust you have in us. It is this trust that made me a candidate for governor, and by the will of Allah, I am now serving you in that capacity. As your governor, I assure you that everything we are doing is for your benefit. You can see the impact of our People’s Bank initiative, and we will continue to work tirelessly for your welfare.”
The Governor particularly urged residents to be watchful of politicians who come around during presidential elections only to collect money and disappear afterward. They do not care about the people; they only care about themselves. “I assure you that as our government continues to work, in two years, everyone will see the tangible results on the ground,” the governor assured.
“I have said before, and I say it again, we will not betray the trust of the people. The people of Charanchi, Rimi, and Batagarawa will never be disappointed. We will never let you down. We will safeguard the trust you have placed in us, and we will ensure that your votes count,” the Governor noted.
Governor Radda, however, calls on electorates to come out in large numbers and vote for the APC. Adding that the party will continue to strengthen people’s unity and support one another.
Architect Usman Murtala Banye, representing Rimi-Charanci-Batagarawa Federal Constituency, equally acknowledged the unity among the three local governments. “All projects and programs initiated by legislators at any level are the result of the guidance of the state governor, Mall Dikko Radda,” Banye stated.
Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanci, Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA), praised the governor’s development initiatives, noting that “the devotion of the state governor in developing the state would determine the victory of the party at polls.”
The APC Chairmanship candidate, Lawal Yahya Kawo, commended Governor Radda’s implementation of people-oriented projects. “I promise to follow his footsteps to reposition Batagarawa’s local government to greatness,” Kawo declared.
