Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has described the victory of Comrade Aliyu Haruna Kankara, as the National President of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), as a honour to Katsina State.
Governor Radda stated that Kankara’s elevation to the NULGE Presidency does not only reflect his personal dedication to public service, but also affirms the quality of leadership emerging from the state local government system.
“His victory brings honour to Katsina State and demonstrates our people’s capacity for national leadership,” the Governor maintained.
Governor Radda continued that Kankara’s rich experience as Katsina State NULGE President and NULGE’s National Treasurer have prepared him well for this national role.
“Currently serving as Director of Administration and Finance at Kankia Local Government Area, Kankara brings a wealth of practical experience in local government administration to his new position,” Governor Radda asserted.
The Governor, on behalf of the Government and the people of Katsina State congratulated Kankara, expressing confidence that his tenure will bring positive development to the NULGE while promoting the welfare of local government employees across Nigeria.
