Gwagwalada Extension Layout Residents has challenged the local government chairman , Alhaji Jibril Abu Giri to give the Minister details of some council roads for possible intervention by Nyesom Wike.
He said with this , the area council will be relieved of bad roads that cannot be funded by the local government.
While they frowned on the grading of roads in FCT in the present circumstances, stating that FCT Minister , Nyesom Wike is ready to take over any council roads desiring construction like the Sheik Hamdan, Old Kutunku Road when properly briefed .
While speaking on behalf of the community, Malam Abubakar Yusuf said the road along with Jeremiah Useni road in Gwagwalada was graded and abandoned for over four years , leaving the residence to wallow on potholes during rainy season and dust during dry season.
The community states that it is better for the Gwagwalada Area Council Chairman , Abu Giri to brief the Minister of FCT now that the main market road linking this roads are undergoing construction for possible consideration.
He stated that residence of these areas have suffered enough particularly during the rainy season were their residences are completely cut off from their homes , owing to bad roads and heavy down pour .
He appealed to the Minster of FCT, Nyesom Wike to break into some of these roads for possible construction and reconstruction to relieve residents of continuous suffering from bad roads in some satellite towns of FCT, especially in Gwagwalada.
