The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has in continuation of his human capacity building programs facilitated the training of about one hundred Head Teachers, School Administrators and Others across his Constituency.
The training which is in partnership with the Centre For Management Development among other things includes the supply of laptops and printed not sellable exercise books for primary school pupils in Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State.
The guest lecturer, Dr. Yakubu Akus while highlighting the significance of the exercise to school teachers underscored the genuineness of Rep. Halims’ representation of the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency adding that the training which targets none political actors is a clear indication of his commitment to effective service delivery.
Reacting to the training, a procurement officer from the Centre For Management Development, Alhaji Suleiman Kabiru, while monitoring the training advised participants not to sell the items that will be given to them after the training and encouraged them to support their representative for more dividends of democracy.
In his goodwill message, the Executive Secretary of Ankpa Local Government Education Authority, Prince Ishaka Yakubu, commended the Federal Lawmaker for identifying with teachers. He added that teachers play a pivotal role in nation building and urged other elected officials to learn from Hon. Halims by giving back to the electorates without recourse to party, religious, ethnic or any sectional affiliation.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Deputy House, ably represented at the auspicious event by his Legislative Aide, Barr. Tony Omali, urged the beneficiaries to take the training seriously in view of the fact that they are expected to use the knowledge of the training in advancing their teaching career.
