The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Borno State, Hajiya Gambo Zuwaira has been honored by Sports Writers Association, SWAN, a prominent and legendary sports archives and writters for her contributions to the development of their programs and sports in Nigeria.
The event which held in October, took place in Abuja amidst fanfare , celebration and extension of supports to the commissioner for women affairs and social development ,Borno State, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo.
Recognized for her dedication, commitment, and development of the association, she was singled out for the honor for been part of all their programs over the years .
Hajiya Gambo, the pride of Borno State and Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in the last six years has contributed immensely to the success story of the Babagana Zulum’s administration and development of the state, inspite emergency situations of Boko Haram activities in the state , hence her reapportionment.
Gambo has driven both local and global activities of Borno State government relating to Women Affairs, Social Development from global bodies interactions with utmost transparency and accountability, that had improved the relationship of the state government with the international organizations and communities, the welfare of ordinary Borno Women and people.
The utmost confidence reposed in her by the leadership of Borno State made her a reliable ally of the first family of the state , the confidence she had not derailed over the years .
Friends of the global bodies from all countries, she had simplified the programs and activities of the state government in the ministry of women affairs and social development in the area of interface , programs execution locally and with the the global bodies without reservations.
The Commisioner for women affairs has won several awards both locally and internationally, through various recognitions for her hard work , diligence, commitment and alive to her responsibilities, both from public , private and global entities.
Gambo, a grassroot politician has won the heart of not only female in her area, but men’s preference politically for so many years, and her sacrifices to the development of her immediate communities and Borno State has been distinct and unwavering.
The team Yazuzu , a political think tank of the Commisioner for women affairs and social development were on ground to grace the auspicious occasion.
Borno State Government and the Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, along with the First Lady of Borno State , Dr Falmata Zulum has since congratulated the Commisioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo for making the state proud.
The investiture of the award has since been confered on her in the National Stadium, Abuja amid high turn out of the people of Borno state and notable Nigerians.
Gambo ,a pan Nigerian, has built relationships from her tender age across the country, having attended the famous Federal Government College , now Unity School that has united many Nigerians that attended the institution many decades away.
The Commisioner for women affairs and social development who was visibly elated appreciated the awardees for the honor done her , while dedicating the award to the Borno State Government.
The event witnessed people from all walks of life ,shades and extraction who came to honor Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo.
