The former Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Kashim Akor FNIM. NPOM. has donated another set of solar street lights to lighten up Ankpa Community and it’s environs in Kogi state.
Ankpa town and it’s environs was thrown into darkness for many years due to epileptic power supply or non distribution of light by AEDC, which is been assisted through the provision of renewable energy by the former Director General.
The latest distribution numbering about two hundred (200) is to complement the two earlier ones(400) already installed in communities across the local government.
Aside enhancing provision of light , it will also address insecurity prevalent across the nooks and crannies of communities in Ankpa local government.
Dr Akor who commenced ‘operation light up Ankpa town ‘ has also provided both empowerment and engagement outlets for the people of the area even out of office.
Already, the technical team in conjunction with the domestic staff of the former Director General have commenced the process of installation of the new set of solar street lights.
