The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has in continuation of his numerous human capacity development efforts trained over one hundred women and youths of Ankpa Federal Constituency in liquid soap making.
The training which exercise was organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in a deliberate effort to instill entrepreneurship orientation into the Participants.
Speaking at the training, a staff of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Mallam Hassan Wada, urged participants to take the training very seriously. He commended the consultants for their excellent organisation and urged beneficiaries to keep rallying round Rep. Halims in order to attract more dividends of democracy to the area.
In her practical session, Ms. Beauty Ngozi underscored the importance of liquid soap making to daily life adding that it can improve anybody’s livelihood if it is put into proper production on a commercial scale.
Many of the participants who all got a fifty thousand naira start up grant upon completion of the three days training prayed for Rep. Halims in appreciation of the gesture which is almost normalised to a semi-monthly event.
It can be recalled that numerous constituents of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency as well as others drawn from Kogi East have benefitted in different entrepreneurship development programs of Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims Ali, PhD with a view to boost the local economy of the people as part of his capacity building efforts which so far, he can boast of five billion naira facilitation in all
