Jakadan Sokoto and former extraordinary period and two time Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim CON clocked 76 years today on the surface of the earth , April 6th, 2025, maintaining his age long selfless, community service and philanthropy.
Idris who have crisscrossed the length and breath of the country started his early life from the South and eastern part of the country.
Therefore , his fluence in Ibo language and extraction is undaunted as he made many friends across the south east .
This was basically his early business adventure that started from Ibo land , were he learnt the intricacies of various businesses and vocation.
He also explored the North Central by pitching tent with the people of Niger state , where he engaged in series of businesses too before relocating to Sokoto ,were he is a house hold name there, and bagged the highest and prestigious title, Jakadan Sokoto.
While staying in Sokoto , he established both small and large scale business that led to the establishment of the best hospitality outfit in Sokoto then and the proliferation of others known as Ibro holdings and furniture giving employment opportunities to the people.
His decision to expand on the hospitality business brought him to Abuja in the early 80’s were he established many outfit as Ibro Hotel and later Grand Ibro Hotel among many other outfits.
It was during his private and personal sojourn that his people from Kogi teemed to prevail on him to come and contest the governor of Kogi state .
Coming from an opposition party in Kogi , with a popular Governor of the state then , there was a lot of doubt about him winning the election in 2003.
Conversely ,former Kogi governor, Ibrahim Idris CON broke a record of been the first to defeat an incumbent governor in Nigeria, through a landside victory.
He rules courageously and conscientiously for nine consecutive years with success story in all areas that could not be surpassed by subsequent governors of the state .
As you clocked 76 years today, 6th , April ,2025, more good health, more wisdom, more good will shall continue to trail your activities.
Congratulations, Your Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris CON, Jakadan Sokoto at 76.
