A call has gone to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory FCT, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to include the abandoned Sheik Hamdan, Kutunku Road in the on ongoing roads construction in the area , as the road was graded and abandoned by the Gwagwalada local government area council.
The residents of the area led by Mohammad Yau and Inuwa Lawal lamented on Sunday while asking for the Minister’s intervention before the rainy season as it was awarded for grading and abandoned after that.
When constructed according to them , the community and other adjoining ones will have access to good and motorable road both at dry and rainy season , and also serve as another outlet to Kutunku and other areas linking the Gwagwalada town .
He said the community was starved of basic amenities despite been in the heart of Gwagwalada from solar street lights, pipe borne water and especially roads requiring the Ministers intervention.
They commended the ongoing roads construction in the area , and lauded the Minister for a job well done , stating that his appointment is a new dawn to the people of FCT.
He said the construction company outsource the plot belonging to the school whose roads was abandoned, stating that when constructed will ease a lot of movement in the area.
