Governor Ahmed Usman 0dodo of Kogi State has charged political office holders at all levels to ensure the dividends of Democracy gets to the people at the grassroots..
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Joel Salihu Oyibo gave the charge while inspecting the progress of the ongoing projects and Commissioning of completed ones across Dekina Local Government facilitated by Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna , Member representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency at the National Assembly .
The Governor said the inspection of the ongoing projects and commissioning of the completed ones are part of Kogi State Government’s effort towards ensuring that the people at the grassroots enjoy the benefits of good governance through the Federal and State government’s renewed Hope initiative .
The completed Projects Commissioned by the Deputy Governor includes One block of six classrooms at LGEA Primary School Emewe Efopa, a solar-powered motorized borehole at Olowa Ofejiji, and the solar lights in Ojogba among other projects in Dekina Local Government to ensure the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Projects inspected are ongoing boreholes at Ajakagwu and Ojogba , the ongoing construction of the Ofode/Ate and Onu Iyale Palace roads in Iyale, Solar powered boreholes at Odu Ate and Ajagumu, all in Dekina Local Government Area .
The Facilitator of the projects, Honourable Paul Gowon Haruna, Member representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency at the Green chamber expressed gratitude to the people for the trust, and assured them of more infrastructural projects in the area.
While commending the Federal and State governments as well as other stakeholders for the support, he explained that the next phase of the projects inspection and commissioning will focus on Bassa local government area…
Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo and his team paid homage to the Ejeh Dekina and chairman Dekina Local Government traditional council Alhaji Usman Obaje.
