The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has expressed excitement at the completion of a four classroom blocks with toilet ensuite ready for handing over at the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa.
The Deputy Leader who doubles as the honourable member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State also declared his renewed commitment to the revitalisation of Primary Health Care(PHC) delivery through a state of emergency on major PHC centres across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas of Kogi State.
He said for the future of the young and unborn generation to be well secured, all hands must be on deck to make basic education attractive to pupils and students.
According to him, education as a facet of the economy can boast of being Nigeria’s economic orbit because it is the foundation stone of everything and as such, assured that he will continue to invest in its development for the greater good of the next generation.
Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims commended Messrs Onyido and Onyido Limited for the quality of job delivered. While thanking the National Centre for Women Development which he facilitated the project through, He promised to ensure the appendage of motorised borehole to subsequent bill of quantity for the constitution of classroom blocks in a view to ease the replication of toilet ensuite to give students, pupils and their teachers maximally conducive learning and teaching environment, respectively.
Describing the project as one sited on the basis of competitive advantage, Rep. Halims revealed that the choice of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa was solely because the institution having already been reticulated with water, the utilisation will be stress free.
The Federal Lawmaker advised the management of the Demonstration Primary and Secondary School Ankpa to ensure proper use and maintenance of the infrastructure when handed over in order to ensure long term benefits.
In addition to numerous agricultural interventions and installation of solar powered lights, over twenty other classroom blocks, fifteen motorised boreholes and opening of feeder roads which are all awaiting commissioning, the people’s member assured of a rapid rehabilitation of at least three primary health care centres across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency before June, this year.
