Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has held a special valedictory session at the Government House Chambers, celebrating the contributions of three distinguished public servants who have been appointed to higher national positions.
The honoured individuals included Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri, appointed as National Coordinator of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD); Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, now Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA) and Mannir Muazu Ruma, former Special Adviser on Market Development, who’s set to contest for the Chairmanship of Batsari Local Government.
Governor Radda declared that his decision to release these trusted individuals to take up new higher positions was fundamentally in the best interest of the people and the state.
The Governor particularly praised Hon. Jabiru as a tolerant figure and true friend who stood by him during difficult political times and was instrumental in supporting his gubernatorial victory.
Highlighting Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi’s contributions, the Governor acknowledged his pivotal role in supporting his gubernatorial campaign and eventual election.
Similarly, he commended Mannir Muazu Ruma’s commitment to local development, noting his aspiration to contest for Batsari Local Government Chairmanship as a genuine desire to contribute to the community’s progress.
The Governor further paid tribute to the late Alhaji Aminu Custom Malumfashi, former Special Adviser on Youth Development, who recently passed away.
He acknowledged Custom’s leadership qualities and community-driven decision to contest for local government chairmanship before his passing on.
Additionally, Governor Radda extended best wishes to appointed federal ministers, Architect Ahmed Musa Dangiwa and Hannatu Musa Musawa, praying for Allah’s guidance in their new roles.
State Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, who was also present, praised the Governor’s commitment to releasing key personnel for national service, adding that it demonstrates the administration’s dedication to broader national development.
