The former First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki has congratulated Nigeria First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu over the conferment of honourary doctorate degree on her by the Federal University of Technology, FUTO, Owerri, Imo State.
The Saturday, 7th December, 2024 award ceremony marked the 36th convocation ceremony of the Institution, where prominent Nigerian leaders were recognized for their contributions to national development and humanitarian efforts.
An elated Sen. Raji Rasaki extolled the virtue of the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, saying her impacts transcend the soil of this country, adding, “her outstanding impact on the lives of the Nigerian people are commendable.”
She praised Senator Tinubu for her humanitarian services and unwavering dedication to advancing education, particularly the establishment of the Renewed Hope Initiative, (RHI) and other NGOs that focused on youth development, girl-child education, and women empowerment.
Sen. Raji Rasaki urged the First Lady not to relent but remain steadfast in her dedication and selfless services to the mankind, “Your Excellency, you are a champion of a great Nigeria and all that are best for Nigerians. We are proud of today’s honour, so I admonish you to continue such a lifestyle for the benefit of all.”
