The National Assembly Igala Forum Abuja has described the Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims as the most outstanding Igala/Bassa Lawmaker while in his office at the National Assembly to pay homage and thank him for his impeccable representation.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, President of the National Assembly Igala Forum Abuja, Mr. Labija Daniel who was accompanied by the Vice President, Mr Uchola Joseph noted that the Association is the umbrella body of all Igala people working in the various ranks and cadres of the National Assembly. Other members of the forum present includes Alhaji Munir Alfa, Mrs Lami Abubakar, Mr Ameh Zekeri, Hajiya Sani-Saidu Rabiat, Hajiya Aminat Ladidi Musa and Hajiya Lami Hamidat Abubakar.
The President, Mr Daniel in his address revealed that as permanent staff of the National Assembly, the forum can authoritatively rate any lawmaker without the fear of favour and contradiction stressing that their years of service gives them an in-depth knowledge of the character, competence, performance and networking ability of all lawmakers adding that it is based on these indexes that the forum rates the Deputy House Leader as the most outstanding Lawmaker from Igala/Bassa land.
Responding, the Deputy House Leader thanked his kinsmen for the acknowledgement of his service to the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency assuring the forum that he will continue to strive from every angle for the socioeconomic advancement of his people. He urged them to be good ambassadors of Igala/Bassa land and reaffirmed his commitment to an opened door policy for any endeavour that has a potential of improving the livelihood of the electorates.
In a related development, representatives of the Police Health Maintenance Limited were also on a courtesy call to the Federal Lawmaker for a strategic partnership in healthcare services delivery. He commended the team, led by Mr Abubakar Yakubu for the proposal and promised to look into on account of the importance his stewardship place on health care, education and human empowerment.
It can be recalled that among other endeavours, the Deputy House Leader has been on the lips of his constituents for a three day medical outreach which recently captured about one thousand constituents in addition to an ongoing training and empowerment of five thousand targeted youth/women of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency with start up grants in different entrepreneurship skills.
