The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has condemned in strong terms, a recent attack carried out by unknown gunmen at Ankpa.
In a condolence message issued in Abuja on Monday, the Deputy Leader condoled with the family, friends and kins of those directly affected by the incidence as He urged residents of Ankpa to prioritise ensure maximum security measures moving forward.
He urged clerics and Leader to organise special prayers for the land as the attack which left some people feared dead threw the ancient town into cold mourning, owing to the alien nature of such deadly incidents in the area.
While praying for a none repetition of such an unfortunate incident, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims called on the people to see security as everyone’s business and develop a proactive spirit towards reporting and relating any suspicious events to the various security agencies with a view to entrench a peaceful society devoid of security threats.
Rep. Halims then prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased, while assuring the good people of Ankpa Local Government Area that he will continue to provide the needed support to mitigate insecurity as there cannot be peace and development in an unsafe society.
