The Executive Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has mourned the passing of Hajia Rakiya Yaya, the esteemed mother of Hon. Hamza Suleiman Faskari, the Katsina State Commissioner for Environment.
Hajia Rakiya departed this world today at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, she was aged 85.
Governor Radda expressed his profound condolences to Hon. Hamza Suleiman Faskari, his family, and the entire people of Katsina State on this great loss.
In his condolence message, the Governor stated, “It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Hajia Rakiya Yaya, a pillar of strength and wisdom in our community. Her passing is not just a loss to her immediate family, but to our entire state. We pray that Allah grants her eternal rest and gives her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
The Governor further emphasized the significant role mothers play in shaping the society and praised the late Hajia Rakiya for her contributions in raising honourable children who continue to serve the state with dedication and integrity.
During this period of mourning, Governor Radda pray to Allah to make paradise the last abode of the deceased. He called on all citizens of Katsina State to keep the family in their prayers, asking Allah to grant them comfort and peace.
