Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has directed the state’s Ministry of Works to ensure daily supervision of the Katsina Eastern Bypass Dual Carriageway Project valued at over N30 billion naira.
This is to ensure adherence to specifications and ensure its timely completion.
Malam Radda gave the directive when he inspected the road as part of the activities marking his first year in office.
While appreciating the level and quality of the work done so far, Governor Radda promised to personally maintain regular inspections to also assess the rate of progress and quality of the project.
He revealed that Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would be invited to officially flag off the road project.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, Engineer Sani Magaji Ingawa, disclosed that the project was awarded to a reputable construction firm and has a completion period of 18 months.
The twenty-four-kilometer road, which starts from the Umaru Musa Yaradua Junction on Dutsinma Road, passes through Kano Road and Daura Road, and will terminate at Yandaki Town in Kaita Local Government Area.
