What then is an NGO?
The acronym NGO simply means Non Governmental Organization. It means, any Organization that is not Government owned is termed an NGO. Did you get that? All organizations, not owned by Government are simply Non Governmental Organizations.
These organizations could be faith based, CSOs, Non Profits, as well as Community based organizations. NGOs are established for three reasons. For profit, for Non Profit as well as for Hybrid (both profit and non profit) bases.
