The Caretaker Chairman, Idah local government council, Hon Amade Ochijenu Egwuda on Monday, 22nd January, 2024 swore – in Alhaji Alhaji as the Secretary to the local government council.
The ceremony which took place at the council Secretariat was witnessed by All Progressives Congress Chieftains, management staff of the council and other civil servants.
The Chairman admonished the secretary to be “diligent, dedicated and focused” in the discharge of his duties so as to fast – track the development of the area.
The secretary, Alhaji Alhaji on his part poured encomium on His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of the state for finding him worthy to serve as secretary and promised not to disappoint him.
He also thanked the incoming governor, H.E Ododo for keeping faith with him as “I will work assiduously to ensuring the impact of your government is felt at the grassroots.” He concluded.
He thereafter pledged his loyalty to the Chairman, Hon Amade Egwuda Ochijenu whose programmes and policies he will faithfully help to implement and execute to the delight of the people.
The newly Inaugurated secretary then performed his first official assignment by swearing- in the Supervisors and Special Assistants.
He thereafter proceeded to the Palace of Ata Igala, HRM Mathew Alaji Opaluwa CFR where he paid homage to Ata Igala. He pledged his support to the traditional rulers especially in the area of supporting the Chairman to fight crime and criminalities which has become the bane of the society.
