Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has extended his warm felicitations to the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Hon. Faruk Lawal, who has been conferred with a prestigious traditional title.
The title, Sarkin Fulanin Joben Katsina, was bestowed on the Katsina second citizen by Alh. Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, the Emir of Katsina.
A statement issued by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to Governor Radda, “described the traditional title conferment on Hon. Lawal as a dignifying honour to an illustrious Katsina leader”.
“Governor Radda received the news of the traditional title honour bestowed on his Deputy, Alh. Faruk Lawal, by His Royal Highness, with exquisite delight, and deep sense of gratitude.
“My revered, forthright, enigmatic and accomplished Deputy has paid his dues as far as contributing immensely to the accelerated development and steady growth of the Katsina emirate is concerned.
“It is my belief that he will justify the trust His Royal Highness has reposed on him. May Allah grant him more wisdom and abundant grace as he discharges his official duties as the new Sarkin Fulanin Joben Katsina,” part of the statement reads.
