The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka,and supporters in their large numbers stormed Police Force headquarters, Abuja, protesting the brutal killing of three Police officers at Anyigba on Tuesday.

 

The protest was in connection with alleged compromise by the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha.

Speaking on reasons of his protest and party supporters to the Edet Louis House, Ajaka said, thugs loyal to governor Yahaya Bello, DSS and some security agents in cahoots with some criminal officers to invade the house of the Campaign Director General of SDP, Sheikh Ibrahim at Anyigba.

Three serving Police officers were killed after the suspected thugs loyal to governor Yahaya Bello successfully pulled down the gate of the SDP chieftain before accessing the compound.

Governorship candidate of the party in the November 11 election, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka led protest.

Accompanied by prominent party members and supporters, the candidate demanded for removal and prosecution of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Bethrand Onuoha, alleging compromise in securing lives and property in the State

 

Trouble started when some thugs operating in guise of State joint taskforce attacked the residence of the Campaign Director General of SDP, Sheikh Ibrahim in the early hours of Tuesday.

In the incident three serving Police officers lost their lives, while six supporters of SDP were abducted.
