The Director General, National Productivity Centre, NPC, Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha has commended the organisers of the SME program for promoting Small and Medium Enterprises, stating that it would help in driving the nation’s development.
Raji who attended the West Africa SME’s Exhibition 2023 on Thursday, held at Continental Hotels and Towers, Abuja.
Dr. Raji who was accompanied by the Director/ Head, Productivity Measurement and Index Department, Engr. David O. Adejoh to the occasion asserted that most small businesses are the engine room and growth of the economy.
Raji further stated that SME’s remained an engagement outlets for people that guarantee job creation.
He urged the SME’s to think outside the box, harness collectively to generate energy, so that they can share the costs of energy supply, and increase their productivity.
The President and Chairman, Governing Council of NASME, Dr Abdulrashid Yerima, attended the occasion.
Other highlights at the event included an exhibition by various manufacturers and vendors.
