A Statement issued by Abaro Victoria Attah Aka Viva Victoria.
I have been inundated with calls from family and friends over the unfortunate and malicious outbursts of Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, representing Kogi east, my supposed Uncle in his response to the unfortunate death of one of his trusted and loyal thug.
I am in shock that he could link me to the incident and by extension tarnish the image of the respected family of Attah Idoga of Ajiolo Ojaji.
Let me add that I am a card carrying and active member of the APC, so it beats me hollow that he is indirectly accusing me of orchestrating the death of a’ Youth Leader’ of the APC.
In the run up to the Governorship elections of 2019 and his quest to please his benefactor, he used his thugs led by the deceased Adegbe to enforce the victory of Governor Yahaya Bello in Ajiolo Ojaji, they attacked and destroyed the family house of the Attah’s for the singular reason that some of our family members dared to show support for Engr Musa Wada the candidate of the PDP in that elections.
Till today, bullet holes from the attacks still adorn the walls of the sitting room of the family house, the head of the family lodged a report of the attack at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Dekina-.
The community as represented by leaders and members of the Ajiolo Progressives pleaded with the family to bury the hatchet and let the sleeping dogs to lie, as a peace loving family we acceded to their plea and allowed the sleeping dogs to lie.
It was a feeling of deja Vu for me and other members of the family that the same set of thugs led by the deceased Adegbe attacked members of our family on September 25, 2023 because a member of the family was accused of playing the campaign jingle of Muri Ajaka of SDP, which he considered as a subversive material.
In frustration and pain, I took to my Facebook page to cry out of the existential threat of annihilation facing the family in the hands of the thugs sponsored by Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho.
As an individual,all that knows and have come in contact with me can attest to my nobility of character. The Attah Idoga’s family of Ajiolo Ojaji are known as a loving, peace loving and law abiding people.
“It is an open secret in Ajiolo Ojaji and adjoining villages that Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho is the sponsor and power behind the boys that have been terrorising the community in enforcement of his political agenda of always delivering his community to his party by hook or crook, something that can be achieved by persuasion especially for a man that is educated and holds an exalted office. ”
“The glaring inconsistencies in his private disavowal of the gang of thugs led by the deceased and his feeble and half hearted attempt to dress up the deceased as the youth leader of the APC, in his weak attempt to incite the party and law enforcement agencies against me is dishonest and beneath him.”
The deceased Adegbe and his gang had attacked and damaged the properties of the following members of the community in Ajiolo;
1. The house of a community leader, John Ejeh was attacked and damaged in the run up to the 2019 elections.
2. The house of retired teacher, Akpai Ebiloma was attacked and damaged in 2019.
3. The family house of Attah Idoga was attacked and vandalised.
4. The house of the late Sunday Abutu, a retired Soldier was attacked and damaged in September 2023.
5. The house of Late Atogijo Saleh was attacked and vandalised in September 2023.
6. The house of a serving Solder in Egidi Idakwo”s compound was attacked and vandalised in September 2023.
7. Members of the Attah Idoga’s family were attacked and injured in the same September 2023.
I challenge Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho to show to the world efforts that he made to reign his thugs and bring peace and tranquility to the community.
We as a family were angry and rilled by the constant attacks on our family house/members, hence the resort to the social media to vent out frustrations and nothing more.
I am really in shock at the motive behind Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho’s wild and ill advised call to maliciously pitch security agencies and APC thugs against me, he made strenuous efforts to make peace with my family after we openly called him out over his liasion with the thugs ,for him to call them to order.
He visited the victims of the attack by his thugs in the hospital, he also visited the head of the family in his Anyigba home and also attended the wedding ceremony of one of our daughters within a space of 72 hours and the family felt that he was contrite enough and decided to let the sleeping dogs lie.
I want the world to know that I have no link whatsoever with the murder of his thug in chief and neither does the larger Attah Idoga’s family.
I welcome a thorough, open and impartial investigations by the security agencies, they should also investigate the Senator on his relationship and sponsorship of the gang of thugs terrorising Ajiolo Ojaji.
The Chairman of Dekina-Local Government openly accused thugs working for the SDP of being behind the killings, I believe that as the CSO of the local government, he made that pronouncement on the strength of the privileged information at his disposal, and that makes the shameful and badly put together statement by Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho embarrassing to any sane mind.
Let the world hold Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho and his band of thugs responsible for any harm that befalls me and any member of the larger Attah Idoga’s family.
I had always respected and treated him as an Uncle, but having seeing him in his infantile and thoughtless best, I now know better why his image is in tatters in the eyes of the average Igala man, people that adored him in the past.
For being so grossly irresponsible and maligning me in the public domain, he will hear from my lawyers shortly, he enjoys no immunity from silly indiscretion as this .
