Revenue House Lokoja, the complex that housed Kogi Internal Revenue Service KGIRS has now turned to Permanent Voters Card PVC warehouse, as Phase 2 community in Lokoja are in shoddy and dirty deal with the APC merchants to manipulate the next election.
Information had it that members of this community were seen trooping out in their droves to the Revenue House to sell their PVC for 10,000 , and attracting other communities.
This was a fall out of the inability of the residents to earn a living through their stipend salaries, along with those forcefully retired from the state service.
The exercise initiated by the state government due to its dwindling political fortune of APC towards the November governorship election is expected to go round the 21 local government areas, with test run from the state capital in Lokoja.
In another development, another new succour introduced by the current administration for kogites to have unfettered access to health services is known as “Bello Cares “.
This is been done through presentation of your PVC along with it’s information and got registered for state Health insurance scheme attracting free treatment of any ailments.
The program been implemented by the federal government trickled down to subnational level with negation on the format deployed to benefit the people of Kogi state.
A call has however gone to the people of kogi state to shy away from such greek and 11th hour gift, having been traumatized and ridden with poverty in the last seven years, stating that a new leadership under another platform rather than APC in Kogi, will be of benefits to all and sundry.
