Kebbi State Government officials are presently attending a 2-days orientation on the Drug Revolving Fund Scheme for the Integrated Health Supply System State Steering Committee (ISHSSSC) organised by the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) at Dankani Guest Inn, Sokoto State.
The Drug Revolving Fund Scheme is a precursor that saw the passing of the bill for establishing the Kebbi State Drugs and Consumables Management Agency.
Those attending the orientation comprises of government officials, including Hon. Muhammad Tukur from the Kebbi State House of Assembly; Special Advisers to the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza (Health) and Hon (Dr) Usman Buhari Ali Gwandu (International Donor Agencies); and Dr Shehu Nuhu Koko, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Health, his Directors and Heads of all Agencies from the Ministry.
The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Project is a United States funded project that commenced supports the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) activities in Kebbi State with the aim of ensuring the availability of health commodities in our health facilities through a sustainable state-wide funds revolving scheme with special focus on essential medicines.
