The NASU- NPC chapter Executives has paid homage to the Former Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM. in his private office.
The visit which was at the instance of the union members took place on Wednesday, to present an award earlier confered on him by the union delegate conference, held in Abuja recently.
The award recieved by NASU- NPC on his behalf was given in recognition of his contributions to the development of the council, and NASU -NPC Chapter.
In her message of congratulations during the presentation, the chairperson of the chapter lauded his contributions during his eight years stint at the mantle of leadership.
Responding, the Immediate past Director General, Dr Kashim Akor who expressed delight on the presentation and visit of the union members, advised on the need to be dedicated to duty and constituted authority while in service.
While soliciting the union leaders to sustain the collective bargaining strategy, described the working relationship as cordial and reactionary.
He expressed confidence that the new leadership will take the centre to greater heights, saying all hands must be on deck to drive the new management towards a robust policy framework.
He thanked the union for finding time and extending the recognition to him, stating that he will do more when another opportunity provides itself.
