In view of the fact that the ukomu igala organization was the originating body that put in place the Elder Adukwu led committee, which eventually came up with Alhaji Muritala Ajaka as the consensus candidate for the igala nation, we write to remind every member of our organization that, that decision and announcement must be upheld and respected on a collective basis as such.
It is important to state that the process leading the the consensus decision went through wide consultations and indeed reflected the views of the majority of our people resident in Igala/Bassa land who are the actual voters. Anything to the contrary would been at variance with the aspirations of our people and a disrespect to their wishes.
Therefore, no member is allowed to use any Ukomu igala platform to campaign, preach, and/or propagate the name of any other party and/or any other candidate on any of the Ukomu igala platforms. Doing so would amount to shooting the organization on its legs.
This instruction does not, however, preclude the fact that as individuals, anyone is free to support and campaign for his or her candidate of choice outside the organisation’s platforms.
Kindly be guided as such.
