The Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has floored the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Hon. Adejoh Joshua at the election petition tribunal in Lokoja, as he urged the petitioner and other opposition to join hands with him in moving the Federal Constituency forward.
According to a statement issued by Comrade Muhammad Nasiru, Special Assistant to the Deputy House Leader, the tribunal in its ruling ordered Hon. Joshua Adejoh of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pay a sum of(200,000) two hundred thousand Naira, for wasting the time of the election petition tribunal with a frivolous petition.
In a unanimous judgement, the tribunal judges upheld the election of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’ candidate, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims as the validly elected member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State in the 2023 general election.
While reacting to the judgement, the Deputy House Leader thanked God for yet another victory.
He commended the judiciary for a fair trial, thanked the leadership of his party as well as the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, as he urged the petitioner and his teaming supporters to join hands with him for the greater good of the land.
