Kogi state government is set to dispose both valuable and landed properties located in various parts of the state.
This is at the backdrop of abandoned and ongoing projects located across the state and Abuja.
It will be recalled that some assets running into billions of the state declared and undeclared had been sold out to cronies and family members without recourse to due process.
It was alleged that Kogi liason office in Lagos and Abuja was surreptitiously disposed without due process.
Kogi House in Abuja and Confluence Hotel Lokoja have been abandoned with completion at appreciable level in the last eight years.
A circular released by the Head of Service of Kogi state , Hannah Odiyo listed about ten assets all located on Kogi east and inherited from the old Benue state for disposal.
The assets belonging to Ministry of Agriculture met stiff resistance that led to removal of former Commissioner for Agriculture, David Apeh.
The assets located in Idah, Ankpa, Olamaboro, Dekina will be up for sale with staffers of the offices not sure of the security of their jobs.
The circular instructed the Ministry to without further delay relocate the state workers deployed to the offices.
The multi billion assets will be disposed at give away prices at the expense of the general public.
