A civil society organisation, ‘Progress Nigeria’ has sent a message of congratulations to Engr Adokiye Tombomieye of NNPCL on the well deserved award of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the federal government.
A statement released to the media on Monday by the spokesman, Danladi Inuwa said the national honor was well deserved, considering the ongoing reforms and innovations in the nation’s oil industry.
He commended the petroleum and gas Engineer for turning around the Nigeria’s giant oil company into a profitable venture, that can compete favourably globally.
“Under the current management, with Engr Tombomieye playing a leading role had transformed the oil industry to a more major contributor to the revenue of Nigeria.”
He described the national award and recognition as timely, stating that it will be an opportunity for him to do more in other higher position to the country.
